Wild West Buffalo Stampede Page
The Wild West Buffalo Stampede is a three day event held by the Western Bison Association in Ogden, Utah. It includes the Stampede Show and Sale which is always on the first Saturday of December and is the third day of this annual event. Watch our events calendar on the home page for exact dates this year.

The Association marks this time for it’s annual meeting, board meetings, election of officers and board members, educational speakers and events, as well as plenty of time to view the bison and share in quality personal time with bison producers and people interested in bison. The main attraction of this event is the judging of bison on Friday and the sale of live animals on Saturday. The sale starts at noon.

The Schedule of Events for the Wild West Buffalo Stampede begins on Thursday evening after consignors have finished unloading their buffalo at the Auction Arena Building, Golden Spike Event Center. For Stampede Show and Sale details, see that section. For hotel information, refer to the Comfort Suites on this site. Our evening activities take place at the hotel, including our Friday evening annual banquet and show awards presentation. All other activities are held at the Auction Arena Building. Vendors for this event set up in the arena lobby on Friday and are available to spectators and exhibitors all day Saturday during the Wild West Buffalo Stampede Show and Sale. Our vendors serve food, sell meat, jewelry, robes, leather, buffalo artifacts, and Native American artwork.

Whatever your area of interest may be for this great American, the American bison or buffalo, whichever name you prefer, come join us in Ogden!
